Stratagem REQUIRES the application Nucleus to be install and updated when updates are available. This is due to Nucleus handling the license key activation and as well as containing shared libraries that the apps will use.

It would be nice to improve the integration system with the personalized theme.

and why not find another solution to the socket for real-time updating

A lot of it is custom, it uses what it can. it is possible the theme is too customized from the default theme, and there would be no way for me to anticipate that, so some work on stratagem's templates/css might have to be done.
