Message on entry to chat

Hi Michael  

I want to encourage users to take part in the chat with a Welcome message.

Is there any way to do this?

I really want to tell them a few commands (like /help) on entry to the chat to help people make the most of the chat experience.  I can't seem to find a way to do this.

Also, is there a way to turn the sound notifications on or off by default?

there isn't a way to do a welcome message, but its a good idea, i'll put it on the feature list for version 3. what you could do for now is put a announcement widget above the chat window and then set an announcement in modcp that only shows on babble, to let them know these things.

sounds should be off by default, there isn't a way to enable them by default (as i find unexpected sounds from a browser to by highly annoying, it is why i made them disabled by default).

If possible, I would love to be able to turn selected notification sounds on and off by default.

I've customized some of the sounds and would like to have new message notifications on by default.  It's a very subtle sound and I think it will encourage engagement.
