Cannot save an edit or new menu item in IPS 4.1.17.1

  • CJ Menu 4.0.3 Work In Progress Bug

Discovered this after upgrading when trying to add a menu link to the new Leaderboard.  Clicking any of the ACP buttons (Save, Save and Reload, or Cancel) all result in a cancellation action being processed.  Tried to edit an exiting menu item and save it, and the same thing happened.

i can not reproduce here or locally could you send me ACP access to your site so i can check it out there? it could also be a conflict with another plugin/app.

Sent them in a PM.  If you think it beneficial, you can upgrade to the latest release while you're in there.  I think I have some remaining "store credit".. B|

seems like it is working for me, I added "Leaderboard" to the end of the menu.

can you explain me our process of creating a menu item? maybe its a bug in the steps you are taking, that i don't encounter.

go to the link to watch the video on how to add it.

you have applications, and most applications have at least one front navigation if they have any type of front end presence. unlike the menu manager, CJ Menu breaks those up into their apps, the IPS Menu Manager will show you ones not already linked, i'll see about changing that (as there is a bit of back end code left over from the original 4.0 that wasn't like this, it is probably for the best to change it since it is causing confusion).

As for internal links, it does seem to be causing a error. I'll get it fixed and a updated version pushed out.

I also installed the MemberLists plug-in by Fosters, and CJ Menu will not link to the two different member lists that I have created (premium members can see one with more info).  It seems to display only the Memberlist that is designated as default, and there's no way to link the other one.  I understand that he's contacted you about this directly.

i will need a copy of any third party app that is causing an issue, i couldn't say for certain it was cj menu when i talked with him, i just said it probably is (as mentioned before the code there is a hold over from the 4.0 that continued to work in 4.1 so i never changed it).

I haven't forgot about this. It is going to require rewriting of several sections of code, as there is no "structure" to this new addition. I will have to figure out a way to make it work with the rest of CJ Menu.
