Check for Updates in ACP

Its optional in IPS. I use to have a script that would handle update checks, but i've been too busy to update it for IPS 4. 

ok, so will this be added in a future release ? As in works with IPS check for updates ?

Its really a mixed bag.

I have an app, polliwog that could handle the update check for me, but the problem with that, i would have to remember to update it when i update the file. if i can figure out a efficient way to stream line this, i will add it back into my apps, but for now I'd recommend following the app on IPS or here, as it will send out a notification email when i update them.

Surely you just need to build the IPS update check into your app as IPS suggested waste there when i asked them why it wasn't showing an update availabe ? Other add on apps i have show when an update is available in the ACP ?

I have a full time regular job, lots of clients, and kids i look after. If i find the time, i will look into adding this back into my apps, but for now, I will still suggest following the app so you can get notifications of when i release a new version.

updated polliwog to pull the version number from the download item here on my site, so i've added it back into cjdml. we'll see how well it goes.
