Creating the CJ Menu without Taking IPS Menu Offline

You can disable the primary menu in group management (go to edit group and toggle the slider off), this will make the IPS menu display on the front end, but will allow you to build menu items for CJ Menu in your ACP (preview will work during this, so you can view a mock up what it will look like on the front end).

This doesn't seem to work for me.  I did as you stated above.   Members and guests cannot see the primary and secondary navibars,  only the Home bar is visible.

I'm not sure i follow.

Sorry, The CJ menu shows to everyone even though I only chose an admin group to view it.   I'll just work on it when the activity on my site is light.

yeah it doesn't work that way sorry. if you have it enabled it will replace the IPS menu. the permissions are who can see the menu items themselves. What i meant, you can disable it, set it up in the ACP and see it in the "preview" to give you an idea how it will work there. then when you get it done you can re-enable it. 

If the CJ menu is disabled in applications then it isn't viewable in the ACP menu.  

Also, the mobile version isn't good.  Could there be an option to choose to enable or disable the CJ mobile menu with a future release?

go to CJ Menu->Primary Group->Groups Management->Edit Group

Enable Group: toggle it off. this will disable the primary group. this disabled will have the IPS menu display on the front end, while you work on the Primary Group in the ACP.

If you don't like CJ Menu's default mobile menu, in group management you can toggle "MM Style Mobile" which will use a menu style similar to how the IPS Menu works, but it will display the menus from cj menu.
