Internal Embeds issue with certain links

Say if I link an actual bug report from the tracker the link shows up fine with the title and all that jazz. but say I link /tracker I get a message "Unavailable" "Sorry, this content is no longer available." and there isn't a link so the embed won't take you anywhere.

do this as a test for me, try that same link that boinks out in babble, in a forum post/topic, does it do the same thing? all i'm really doing is check to see if the link is internal and adding a query string to it to check if the embed link returns a 200 status or not, if not, it should return a regular link.

Pasting the same link in a post just makes it look like a regular link.
