  • CJ Duplicate Member Logger 1.0.7 CJ Duplicate Member Logger 1.0.6 Closed Bug

Hi @Michael

It's me again, now with a couple of new bugs.

1. When clicking in the "Actions" box, with some boxes the floating menu doesn't show up. Please refer to the screenshots.

2. The same happens when clicking to see the list of duplicates for each entry:

3. When using the option to send the emails to the duplicate users, by default the name of the sender is "Guest"; I think it should automatically fill this field with the admin user who is accessing the ACP.

Thank you in advance!

Gabriel.

@Michael another issue came up. After upgrading to 1.0.6, the download of attachments stopped working, giving error 500. Disabling your plugin solved the issue. So we have your plugin disabled by now. You should take a look into this, as I don't understand how your plugin would break the download of attached files. Cheers.

it shouldn't...but i'll check it out. for future reference, can you make a new report for each bug/suggestion, it helps keeping track, as i often times i just skim over comments when determining if a bug has been fixed or needs fixing.

1 & 2. check the permission for the groups, i added several new groups permissions in the last version, it looks like you don't have them configured.

3. Changed

the attachment issue has been fixed too.

@Michael the issues shown in the screenshots are still present. Could you please clarify where in the ACP I have access to "check the permission for the groups, i added several new groups permissions in the last version, it looks like you don't have them configured.". I tried ACP > Members > Groups > (edit a group) but didn't find anything there.

@Michael thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I enabled all options to administrators. However, the problem shown is still present. When clicking some of the "Action" box, the modal window isn't displayed, so we can't select any options.

i've been unable to reproduce this when the settings are enabled for them. if there are no alt accounts, it wont show "show alts" or "pm all", and if they can't remove a record or ban a member, then it wont show those options. what i've done is altered the template, so if there aren't any buttons for it to display, it will not show the "actions" button. I can't find any error in the code if they have permissions, so it strikes me as a configuration issue on your end, either with the member them self or the group in question.

i'm using '\IPS\Member::loggedIn()->modPermission' which could be bugged if the group that has the permission is listed as a secondary group, I'll do some test later. If i find this is the case, i'll file a ticket/bug report with IPS.

@Michael With the new version, the boxes don't show up anymore, as you describe above. So the problem is now gone. Many thanks!

However, the sender is still filled with "Guest" instead of the name of the logged-in admin that is taking care of the issue.
