Hello again Michael

When I select a smiley in the editor  - it is just displayet as text - as (Smiling face with open mouth). Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?

it will insert the ASCII emoticon from the emoticon list, when you send it, it should convert over to the image emoticon. for emoji's themselves, i use the emojione library and it should uniformly convert them, so they look identical on mobile devices and desktop browsers. the message input area is just a html textarea, its not an RTE so it wont visually convert them over.
